Responsibilities and Qualifications

An Ultrasound Technologist is to be ARDMS/ARRT registered and have a well rounded knowledge of the procedures performed at Mercy St. Francis Hospital. Cross-training into other modalities will be a requirement. The technologist is responsible for maintaining the Ultrasound room and equipment. They will work with the Radiologist and Manager to set times and protocols for each exam done in the department. They will communicate needs in equipment and supplies to the Manager and make recommendations for future needs in budget planning for the Radiology Department.


Because you re committed to excellence, you understand the importance of being properly prepared for your role at Mercy. That s why you ll bring to your role the right set of qualifications:

  • Education:
    Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound school.

  • Licensure:
    ARRT and ARDMS registered. Missouri State licensure required. Must maintain a current license and registration in field of modality(s).

  • Experience:
    Minimum, graduate technologist.

  • Certifications:
    CPR certified upon hire or complete trainingduring the orientation period. Required certifications must be current before being assigned to care for patients independently.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
